Buttons Many of the individual VDF programs contain buttons. Buttons are used to perform various program specific tasks. Options that are available using a button may or may not also be available in the context menu or toolbar that is displayed by the program. Button objects are labelled to indicate what they are used for, and they are normally also described in the Programs section of the documentation for each module. Toolbar The Toolbar is an object that contains a set of standard buttons or options that are available in most of the VDF programs. Some of the standard toolbar options include the FIND, FIND PREVIOUS, FIND NEXT, SEARCH, EXPAND and ZOOM options, the SAVE Button, the Imaging Button, and the Email Button. The Toolbar object is included in many of the VDF programs and it is located in the top section of the programs that it is included in. Most of the Toolbar options can be activated and deactivated inside each program and the color of the buttons or options changes (fades in or out) based on whether or not the feature is available in the program or field that you are in. Whether or not a given option is available may be based on both the program and the field in the program that the cursor is positioned in. Some toolbar options may be available in some fields of a program and not others. Context Menu The Context Menu is a program specific menu that is used to list options that may or may not be displayed on a button or on the toolbar. The Context menu normally lists less commonly used options in the programs that it is included in. The context menu can be accessed by pressing the Context Menu button on the Toolbar or it can be accessed by pressing the right mouse button in a data entry window.
